[Role and Responsibilities]

Organizational Optimization 

  -  Establish an organizational structure for upscaling / streamlining global operations across all of Nearthlab’s industry sectors including wind, public safety and defense. 

  -  Define, document, and continuously improve all operational processes, collaborating closely with other departments to execute company-wide initiatives. Establish/Adopt new internal systems, KPIs and hierarchy to align with said initiatives.

  -  Develop operational strategy with other cross-functional teams and ensures successful execution of strategy. Prepare for operations in new territory or industries.

Operation Execution 

  -  Liaise between different sales department heads to identify priorities, streamline inefficiencies and tackle pending issues. 

  -  Lead the process to obtain airworthiness, CE and other validation certifications from regulating organizations in different countries 

  -  Coordinate with governmental bodies regarding the ex/import of strategic items including military/commercial dual use drones 

  -  Lead the Operational Department to ensure 1) seamless day-to-day service operations 2) execution of high-pressure pilot projects and 3) on-time equipment manufacturing. 

  -  Required to supervise and coordinate multiple teams across different time zones, increasing Operation Department efficiency and organizational cohesiveness. 

Team Management 

  -  Manage international teams of Sr. managers, regional project managers and staff, providing strategic guidance and direction to drive team results. 

  -  Nurture growth within the Operational Department so that each individual regional/industry team may be able to operate as an independent unit. 

Financial Management

  -  Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives across all operations, optimizing processes and resource allocation to improve profitability without compromising quality.

  -  Overseeing budgets, monitoring financial performance, and implementing KPIs for service, cost, and revenue targets to achieve financial objectives.

  -  Conduct regular financial analysis to determine profitability of business activities and identify methods for P&L improvement.

[Required Qualifications]

  -  Fluent in English and Korea (both written and verbal) 

  -  Minimum 10 years managing operations, operation support, logistics 

  -  Experience with export of strategic items(전략물자) and defense exports (방산수출)

  -  Experience in managing P&L of sales organizations (budgets, revenue & forecasting) 

  -  Outstanding problem-solving and communication skills with a proactive mentality 

  -  Ability to excel in an unstructured, high pressure and fast-paced environment

  -  Flexibility to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously 

[Preferred Qualifications]

  -  Familiarity with wind or defense industry. 

  -  Working experience in similar industries such as logistics, construction management etc

  -  Additional languages (Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese etc) is a plus 

  -  Experience establishing JVs, overseas legal entities/offices 

  -  Salesforce or Tableau experience 

[Current Scope of Operations ]

  -  Wind Business 

     . Operation in over 30 countries in all continents (excluding Antarctica). Some operations are managed via subcontractors while some country operations are directly operated using in-house personnel and freelancers. 

     . Operation of multiple inspection products (drone, rover) and delivery of inspection results via data management platform. 

     . Need to supervise data processing operations including AI solution development and in-house blade expert team workflow 

  -  Defense Business 

     . Exporting drones, drone stations and other equipment to over 5 different countries with the expectation that the number of countries will increase by at least three-folds in 2025.
